DTN COMMENTS: The country is quiet this morning following yesterday's light
to moderate trade in the North and a light trade in the South. Best early
guesses are that Nebraska moved around 15,000 head at 237.00-240.00, mostly
237.00. Kansas traded 2,000-3,000 head at 147.00-148.00, while Texas
business was limited at 147.00-148.00. Asking prices on the few cattle left
on showlists are around 148-150 in the South, and 238-240 in the North. Beef
cutouts are expected to be higher with light box movement.
